Good to hear, perhaps there is hope. Gent is an Ohio State guy (which is also where the esteemed Brutal attended college), another positive sign!! Lets get this turned around!!

March 17, 2005 - Orlando Magic General Manager John Weisbrod announced today that Johnny Davis has been dismissed from his position as head coach. Magic assistant coach Chris Jent has been named interim head coach. In addition, the Magic have released assistant coach Ron Ekker.

"We work in a bottom line business," said Weisbrod. "It is our responsibility to do everything possible to create the best opportunity for success.

"We will continue to do everything possible to make this team better and feel at this time that we need a new voice and direction," added Weisbrod. "The organization is grateful to Johnny for his work and loyalty, and I wish he and his family the best."

This is good....very good. I'm just curious why they didnt ask Paul Westhead tobe interim coach, he has head coaching experience and led the lakers to a championship in the 79-80 season. I am not overly optimistic about a total turnaround but a shakeup was definitely needed and usually these things translate into an instant win or two.

THE WIN STREAK BEGINS TOMORROW NIGHT IN SEATTLE, THEN SATURDAY IN PORTALAND, AND IT CONTINUES AGAINST CHARLOTTE!!!! :) :D I don't know any background on Chris Jent, but Ohio State guys know one thing that we definitely need: D-E-F-E-N-S-E! :) :D We can make a turnaround with ease as we should get a pretty good jolt from this. I'M SIMPLY GLOWING WITH JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Better put the sunglasses on) 8) 8) 8)

Guys, I'm all excited about Davis being gone, but who is Chris Jent?

Is he a good coach? Can he be a productive head coach?

Does anyone have any information on him?

D-E-F-E-N-S-E, that's exactly what we need, but don't forget the ofense.

I have been noticing in the last games, the ball is not moving well.

Would the players listen to Jent?

Does he command any respect?
