We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Orlando Magic vs. Los Angeles Clippers vs. ![]() What: Regular Season Game #63 Where: Staples Center When: March 16, 10:30 PM Broadcast: TV -- SunSports, Radio -- 580 AM (WDBO) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Orlando Magic are in danger of losing their grip on the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They'll try to end a season-high five-game losing streak when they visit Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Clippers. Orlando was emerging as one of the biggest surprise teams in the NBA this season after posting the league's worst mark last year. However, the Magic have come crashing back to the pack, dropping eight of 11 to slip below .500. On Tuesday, Orlando opened a five-game road trip with a 105-94 loss at Sacramento. Steve Francis scored 25 points and Grant Hill added 24 for the Magic, who shot 43 percent from the floor, including 4-of-15 from 3-point range, and committed 24 turnovers. The slide has left the Magic tied with Indiana for seventh place in the Eastern Conference, just one game in front of Philadelphia. After visiting the Clippers, the Magic will travel to Seattle, Portland and Charlotte. The Magic were without suspended forward Stacey Augmon on Tuesday. Augmon was punished for one game by the NBA for cursing and throwing lotion at a member of the media after a loss to the New Jersey Nets on Sunday. "What he did was not the right thing to do,'' Magic coach Johnny Davis said. ``It should never happen again.'' Teammate DeShawn Stevenson was fined $7,500 for kicking the ball into the stands at the final buzzer of the 98-82 home loss to the Nets. With Augmon out of the lineup, Hedo Turkoglu saw more time off the bench Tuesday, finishing with 14 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes. Stevenson had two points in five minutes. Augmon should be back in action Wednesday. The Clippers, 4 1/2 games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, improved to 3-3 in March with Sunday's 83-78 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Elton Brand had 20 points, including six in the final 2 1/2 minutes, and 11 rebounds against his former team, helping Los Angeles complete a season series sweep of Chicago. "We stepped up the intensity, stepped up the pressure and pretty much swarmed them,'' Brand said. ``It feels good to win a close one. Every time we execute at the end of a game on the defensive and offensive end, we win.'' http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/preview?gid=2005031612 |

I knew we were going to lose last night's game against the Kings, and tonight I know we are going to win against the Clips. Call it wishful thinking but I just think we are a better team. Magic 95 Clips 91 |

Magic should win this one. But the way they have been playen it dosen't look like they will. But 4 some reason i have a gut feeling the magic are going to come out and play great. And my gut feelings are always right, most of the time. So magic win 107-100. |

I think we'll win this game and stop the losing streak. The oddsmakers have the Magic with a 5 point advantage. |

whats really annoying is that i'm going to miss most of the ncaa tourney first round games on friday and thursday, cause of school.on friday i'll miss all of them cause i'm doing this community service thing relay for life, raise $ to help cure cancer for like 18 hours.so i won't even be back at my house until sat.just have to get the scores sent to me on my cell by my bro.but i'd rather watch the games for real than just have freakin' scores sent to me,this sucks. |

i know some kids in band and it seems like it takes up a sh*t load of your time, but u might be able to play band for someone and college, and then u can get into all the football and bball games for free which would be sweet.as for me i've hardly picked up a music instrument in my life.but if i've i was gonna play one i'd probably try electric guitar, just like the way they sound. |

It's pretty neat to hear about you young guys. The age diff on this site really makes me happy cuz we all seem united by our love of our team. s**t that was mushy, forget I said that. Anyhoo, like I said in the playoff chances thread, this game is in my opinion the biggest game of the year for the Magic. Win, and we keep hope alive and break a bad losing streak, and if we lose it is obvious the team is mentally broken and stick a fork in us. Probably the game with the most at stake this season and no one really knows about it. Let's go Magic! |
