NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. With guard Doug Christie apparently facing season-ending surgery, the Orlando Magic could look to add another player, likely a guard.

General Manager John Weisbrod said that his preference would be to sign "a domestic player who's playing in Europe." Weisbrod said he really wasn't interested in searching the Continental Basketball Association for help. Coach Johnny Davis said he and Weisbrod have discussed bringing in a veteran guard.

Shooting guard Steve Francis is all for it. "We better get some help," Francis said. "We don't have enough guards to practice."

Guard Jimmy "Snap" Hunter was a Weisbrod favorite in summer-league play and now is playing in Europe after a stint in the CBA.

Yeah. We need some help on the backcourt now that Nelson is starting.

I remember watching Snap Hunter playing in the summer league. He might not be a "typical" point guard, but he can score.
Christie is a little b**ch

he is pretty good for what we need. He is a high energy guy who finds many different ways to score.

Veteran, eh? I dont mind who they get just as long as the person isnt old enough to be injury prone themselves. I like the idea of a European guy over an over the hill guy. If we sign someone like Dan Majerle or Bj armstrong, look for me at the bottom of a bridge.

"Snap" Hunter provides some great offense, but he wouldn't be much of an impact guy on our team. Still would be good to have him around if needed though. :)

We need to find an energy guy. Much like what Boykins bring to the Nuggets. But I guess it's too late to add a player now.

Do you guys know the deadline for the playoff roster? :) Yeah I am still believing we're going to make the playoffs.

good luck with keeping that belief,so does anybody on this board happen to be an nba draft scout, gimme a break playoffs???someone neeeds to put up that d*mn jim mora clip when he was coaching the colts, about how they couldn't even win a reg season game.that's how bad it's getting around here.francis has been in this league a while but he can't get over having to play without mobley.howard is still only a rook, hill has saved us a lot, nelson is starting to come on,the turk is still inconsistent, and other than that we're lucky to get 10 pts from the rest of the guys on this team.
