We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors vs. ![]() What: Regular Season Game #60 Where: Air Canada Arena When: March 9, 7:00 PM Broadcast: TV -- WRBW, Radio -- 580 AM (WDBO) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Orlando Magic didn't fare very well without All-Star forward Grant Hill on Tuesday. They'll have to do without him for one more night as they visit the Toronto Raptors. Hill bruised his left shin when he was kicked in last Wednesday's win over the Sacramento Kings. Coach Johnny Davis said the injury is not related to the left ankle problems that kept Hill out of all but 47 games the previous four seasons, but that the team wants to be careful about rushing him back. "With anyone else, you would just tape it up a little tighter and go,'' Davis said. "With Grant, we're just being cautious. You don't want him favoring it, which could throw him out of balance and potentially cause a problem." "We have to give him time to get it right. There is some trepidation because it's the same leg.'' Hill, who is averaging 19.3 points per game, played in Saturday's 105-81 win at New Jersey but had just nine points and one rebound in 28 minutes. He did not travel with the team for their back-to-back road games on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Magic were pounded 111-92 by the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday. Steve Francis scored 21 points and rookie Jameer Nelson added 17 for Orlando, which had its three-game winning streak snapped. Hedo Turkoglu started in place of Hill and had 11 points and six assists. Forward Doug Christie, who was placed on the injured list Saturday, will likely undergo surgery to have bone spurs removed from his left ankle and is not expected to return this season. Christie, acquired from Sacramento in January, lost his starting job recently, with Nelson stepping in at the point and Francis moving to shooting guard. The Magic are 3-3 since Nelson became a starter. The Raptors lost 113-105 to the shorthanded Dallas Mavericks on Monday for their third defeat in seven games. Morris Peterson scored 23 points and Milt Palacio added a season-high 19 for Toronto. After scoring a career-high 33 points in Sunday's win over New Orleans, Chris Bosh managed just 13 against Dallas, which was without Dirk Nowitski, two other starters and sixth-man Jerry Stackhouse. Peterson left the game briefly in the second half with a cut on his head that required stitches. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/preview?gid=2005030928 |

I dont feel to confident with Hill out now. It seems without Hills production, Francis feels like he has to completely take the team on his shoulders. Thats what it looked like last night. Back to his old self. Driving to the hoop taking crazy shots, making bad passes, getting the ball taken away from him. He was trying to do too much |

Tonight is a huge game for us. I really think we should pick up the victory, and hopefully hill will be back for the wolves game. I am new to this website so hi guys. I had no idea that there was a site out there. There aren't too many people in this town that are diehard fans, but I am. Most jump on and off the bandwagon just like Miami Heat fans, so its good to see a website like this out there. |

Welcome efenell. Hopefully we can celebrate your inclusion with a win tonight. If we lose tonight, and it becomes apparent we can't win without Hill, stick a fork in us. Hill isn't any sort of long term or reliable solution, so we gotta learn to win without him. Also, if we lose tonight I look forward to the complete deluge of fire Davis posts to start again. Those are always the funniest. |

this isn't going to be a free win Tor doesn't have a good record but they still have rose, peterson, bosh, marshall, and alston out there which is better than what the magic are putting out there since hill is hurt.now if hill was playing the magic are the way better team, but francis and nelson need to see how serious Tor plays defense.some players like t-mac for ex. are known for slacking off on d,but i don't know about tor.I know alston has had a few attitude problems this year. howard will probably play marshall with cato against bosh.howard is more athletic than cato so he's better suited to follow marshall who shoots a lot on the perimeter.cato needs to utilize the strength advantage he has on bosh.but the magic need to cut down on their TOS if they're going to win.Tor is avg. 13.5 Tos this year and is shooting .441 FG .381 3FG.aren't really any other stats that stick out besides their 99 ppg avg. and opponents are avg. 100.5 |

I'm excited to see Howard go up against Bosh. We will have a glimpse of what the future is tonight. I am hoping Howard and Bosh (to a lesser extent ) doesn't disappoint.Go Magic! |

I could easily handle losing to the Cavs (they were just due), but we've got to have this one tonight. Big game for us as we try to catch that number 4 spot. |
