I don't have one, but I'm still trying to figure out what they are. I know there's two screens, but is the second one really necessary? The DS just seems like another stupid move by Nintendo. Ever since they came out with the Virtual Boy, they've been taking risks on strange gaming consoles which end up not being too popular (compared to the other gaming companies). Virtual Boy was a swing and a miss. The Nintendo 64 and its inferior cartridges was eventually overcome by Sony's Playstation. The Gamecube and its minidiscs are behind XBox and PS2 in terms of popularity and overall sales. Now Sony is going to be releasing a portable gaming system that supposedly has 32-bit like graphics, and Nintendo comes out with some weird double-screened system...I just don't think it's going to really catch on well. |

The DS is a revolutionary handheld, built with first class innovation. The two screens are meant to give you two different perspectives on gaming. For example, in a racing game, the second screen would act as the rearview mirror, while the you have the main screen on top. Also, the second screen has a touch feature, which enables you to control characters by touch and also substitutes for a joystick. There is also a mic built in, for sound control and also a substitute for a headset. The DS is cheaper, though its graphics are not as good as the PSP's. Though, in my opinion that is the only drawback. Nintendo has an excellent reputation for durability in its hardware. The gamecube is an exceptional system, and is on par with Xbox when it comes to sales. Well, i would love to keep you busy and discuss this matter even further, but I am too busy playing RESIDENT EVIL 4. P.S. you say it is not going to catch on well..... it has already caught on like wildfire... toppling over 3 million units, in less then 2 months. That is faster then the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube sales combined. |

i wouldnt buy one if u have a ps2 or xbox already.plus sony, microsoft, and nintendo are coming out with new consoles in less than 2 years. And these will have better graphics and more improved stuff in them.a new ps2 supposively with better graphics came out in the uk.don't know if its going to be sold in the us.its silver and costs 180$.i'm not getting it though cause it may seem like a while before the new consoles come out, but it'll get here quicker than u think it will. |
