After 84 years, baseball has a new single-season hit king. Ichiro Suzuki's 258th hit was a single in the third  off Texas' Ryan Drese. Ichiro's single in the first had tied George Sisler. Ichiro acknowleged the fans in the first, and in the third.

Did anyone see his record breaking hit, it had to be the brightest moment in baseball this year. It was amazing how all his teammates went to first and congrulated him.

I didn't see it live, but saw it this morning on SportsCenter. Congrats to Ichiro, he's a classy player who deserved to break the record.

That was incrediable that many hits in one season is truely mind boggling. He is a great contact hitter with unbelievable speed that is a very dangerous combo.

Yeah, I seriously didn't think he would make it at one point. There were like 15 games left and he had to get like 23-25 more hits and I just didn't see it happening...I guess I was way off, because he more than broke the record.
