We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank all Orlando Magic fans who contributed to our little community on the web over the years. This message board started out as a college project back in 2004, and back then I never could have imagined that it would last as long as it did.
However, all good things come to an end. I have moved on to other projects in life, and most of our members here have followed suit. I will leave this message board online as a visual archive into the thoughts and ideas of a group of Magic fanatics that lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance.
Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan

I say hell no, stick it out this year, do everything you can to try and keep him here, try and make a move for Paul or Williams, and see if you can keep him. I wouldn't deal him for Bynum, and that's probably the best offer that could be made. Lopez and two first round picks from Brooklyn? NO THANKS! Plus if you keep him, you limit where he can go next year. The attractive landing spots can really only get him through a trade, don't think they will have the cap space, other than Brooklyn but not sure how attractive of a destination that would be. |

People just started fading... distracted with life I guess. We got a lot of guys who aren't losers and just sit in front of a computer all day I guess lol. But back to the thread... Its hard to believe that the Magic would trade Dwight. Its just like setting up your death by the fans. But its such a difficult situation because no matter what it will end badly unless we have a great season and he stays. He has said his heart is here and wants to retire with the Magic. I think he will stay, but that's just me... who knows what will happen. |

Gun to head, I still think he will stay here as well. I think it's really important we do whatever we can to get one of the two big point guards to sign here as well. I guess if we can't trade for one of them and they hit the market maybe the amnesty clause can help us with the cap room to bring one of them in. We should be doing whatever it takes to try and see if we can convince Paul to come here and make a trade. We don't have a potential star like Bynum to dangle in front of the Hornets, but we have more to offer than the Knicks. A package of Redick, Nelson and Bass or Anderson to me wouldn't be a bad package, better than anything the Knicks could put together. |

Hell no....if the goal is to win a championship, why would u trade a player who is MVP of MVP's from their team. Maybe about 28 teams in the league would trade their whole roster 4 D12. And on top of that he is getting better as a player....Im not saying D12 is the best player in the league, but do i believe he is the best player to build a championship team around. ....I truly believe CP3 is the missing link....by ALL means otis, even if means reuniting Arenas with the warriors[id rather not tho] in a 3 team trade... i say this only because i dont see anyone mentioning this as a senerio Edited by blksage2000, Dec 8 2011, 09:14 PM.

Take it for what it's worth, I mean it's just Stephen A Smith, what does he really know. He was talking NBA on his show on ESPN New York tonight and said Dwight won't said it publicly cause he doesn't want Otis to be in a bad spot and wants him to get as much back for him as possible, but that he has no desire to stay in Orlando and his number 1 landing spot is indeed LA. |
