What makes a really solid album in your opinion?

This one goes out to all of you music junkies. What are some things that bring an album together for you and would make you tell someone else that it's worth listening to? Is it the concept? Lyrics? Maybe you're the type who loves an album if it's doing well on the charts. Also, make a list if you can of your favorite albums for example. By definition, a 'solid album' is one that is great from start to finish. It can be by any band or artist in any genre.

As for me, I am drawn to an album when every song flows together and carries the same great sound that the band or artist is known for. If the artistry of the people/person behind the music is shown through the vocals, lyrics and music, and impresses me at the same time, I will love it. Other little quirks that I like an album to have is some handsome artwork and at least one excellent radio single that I can tell people about, unless it's all experimental. Here are some off the top of my list, no particular order:

Cities by Anberlin
The End Is Not The End by House of Heroes
Absolution by Muse
The Beautiful Letdown by Switchfoot

Now it's your turn!
