Wow, just wow.....best game on the Super....eva... :O Rarely I'd ever describe a game as perfect, but Super Mario RPG comes pretty dang close...

CONTROLS
Perfect, solid, failproof Mario controls blended with Final Fantasy RPG controls.

MUSIC
Phenomenal. Just one word, phenomenal. The SNES was known for it's ear-blowing tunes compared to the Genesis and SMRPG just pushed it to the limit with it's classic array of wonderful songs. Sometimes i just take the game out to listen to Geno's woods "Forest Maze" song.

GAMEPLAY
Well, what can i say? It's a standard RPG....but with a twist! The over world is like a Mario game and the fighting is like an FF game. But the one thing that made the game revolutionary is that it added a timed attack fighting system where if you hit the A button at the right time, the attack would do a second part for additional damage.

STORY
The story line was solid, solid enough to be carried in to the Paper Mario franchise. But the characters are the most memorable of the story.
First, there's Mario:

He's your average character with average strength, speed, and health, just like he usually is...
Second, it's Mallow:

Mallow is a funny and great character who never gets to see a game again  ....for now hopefully  (E3 is coming up)! He has a relatively low attack, but makes up for it with remarkably strong magic attacks.
Thirdly, here's Geno!!!

Geno is probably my favorite character in the game. Although he sports some odd attire, his strength in physical and special attacks make up for it. If any of the SMRPG characters that have been missing had a chance to comeback, i think he'd be at the top of the list.
Forthly, we have Bowser:

Bowser is the strongest physically and the weakest with special attacks....yep, just Bowser being Bowser...
And lastly, there's Peach:

She brings alot of relieve and healing moves and adds a feminine "charm" to the group.

In a nutshell, this game rocks. Definitely in my top 20 games of all time and top 5 Mario games of all time. I hope you love playing the game and if you never played it before, you don't know what you're missing!

VERDICT: 98%, with several deductions including a deduction because of the fact that after you beat the final boss, you can't go back and visit all the places you played in earlier as compared to Paper Mario: TTYD.....but oh well, still great. XD
