Advance Wars: Days Of Ruin

Advance Wars is back, and more dark then ever before! And when I say dark, I mean DARK.

CONTROLS
Advance Wars Days Of Ruin has very simple controls, with controlling your units involving dragging your stylus, or using the traditional D-Pad. Unfortunately, its like Advance Wars Duel Strike in terms of control. However, it isn't in terms of graphics.

GRAPHICS
Advance War's graphics have now changed. Instead of the average cartoony graphics you normally get with a game, this is different. No boy with a rediculously big spanner here. Its different now, and its much darker, which should be expected in any war game.

DIFFICULTY
Advance Wars has been known to be a very difficult series to complete, and Days of Ruin is no different. You see, a meteorite struck Earth, eliminating 90% of life on Earth, and now you must deal with food shortages, enemy thieves, and even new vehicles! However, if you want to find that out, you'll have to get the game.

MUSIC
The music on the new advance Wars is very crisp, and gives a great piece of music. The sound it gives for missiles and bazooka fire is more then enough to make you smile. Best music yet.

WI-FI
One of the best/worst parts of Advance Wars is the wi-fi. Its simple: You search for a opponent, battle, then search again. However, its different then any other wi-fi game. It has voicechat, but you can do it to everyone! Thats right, everyone. That even includes people not on your friends list! This option isn't compulsionary however, so don't worry.

Unfortunately, they have been reports of hackers, which spoils the wi-fi experiance. Luckily, the amazing new graphics, great new arenas and a awe-inspiring plot will more then make up for it.

RATING: 78%

Bad review. Should have longer and more detailed, and you also repeated some things. Bad, bad, bad review.

There's no call for that. The first rule of the Guidelines Sheet says not to be impolite toward your fellow members or insult them. I don't mind a diverse selection of opinions and criticism on these boards, but please learn to still at least let the person feel good for trying.

I liked the review. I haven't played any Advance Wars titles, but that does tell me enough that they don't sound bad.

I agree with your review, although I didn't think the music was that great. I didn't play Dual Strike, so I can't compare he two though.

The gameplay is solid, and the new darker tones are definitely cool. I like it a lot (and still have to beat it, lol).

On the contrary, i thought that it was a great game, earning an 85%, but wasn't as good as AW 2, which in my mind is far more superior to any other one in the series. oh, and i miss the cartoonyness :(
