A rare completion! This is the new KP kit (released 2014), which has a number of advantages over the old one, but there's lots of tiny parts and KP seem to regard locating pins as something that only wimps require. You need to spend time fettling all the small pieces and then work out where they go! But it does result in a very satisfactory rendition of the S-199. The decals are insanely thin and there's lots of stencils that are determined to wrap themselves into a knot. I have another of these kits with the Israeli Air Force option and I fancy doing one with the blown hood. Possibly, maybe.

Very nice, Paul - I might have to get one of these, having wrestled with the 'old' issue.

Question - are you sure about the roundels? I thought the white faced outwards on both wings, and the white was in the top on the tail. This means that the decal sheet needs to have left and right-handed roundels.

Am I correct? If so, is it you or the decal sheet?

Regards, Rob

You are quite right, I have managed to place the fin decals on the wrong side and therefore upside down! :slaphead:

The wings are correct (according to the paint guide).

If I can find some replacements I will fix it, now that it's seen it can't be unseen!
