I was looking on eBay and noticed the prices of the new Revell Haunebu Ii had gone stratospheric (£200+), And couldnít understand why. Seems like itís been withdrawn because it didnít exist/glorified the Nazi era. So, by that can we expect that the Millenium Falcon and every German wartime vehicle withdrawn? I love this bit ďA spokesman said Revell distances itself from glorification of wars and the Nazi era and is trying to work out how and why the toy was developed and made available for sale.ď Erm, surely they know they didnít make it!

It's been moderately viral on Facebook. I'm frankly perplexed, it's not like Revell have never done Luft '46 stuff before, they even have a box art of a 'Nazi jet bomber' flying a sortie over New York and no one seems to have batted an eyelid. The Haunebu was popularised by the Iron Sky satirical/black comedy film, will they be banning that as well?!

This really must be the funniest/saddest story Iíve ever heard. And the fact that Revell have just rolled over and apologised, and took all the flak for a product that they just reboxed, even down to using the original artwork, is just crazy in my mind. Itís still a best seller on Amazon.de though, even at Ä250. Just look at all the other Haunebu stuff available there, including the Squadron version, and some natty 1945 moon landing shirts! https://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2/257-3912891-1242862?__mk_de_DE=ŇMŇé’—&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Haunebu

Once this has blown over I'd expect the same product to be rolled out in a different guise to avoid any controversy. Apparently it was best selling on amazon.

They will probably just issue the Adamski version. Iíve got both of the original Wave boxings and itís just a different interior sprue, and a different sprue for the domes iirc (itís a couple of years since I got mine)
