I was thinking that, but it looks like they've devised a way to avoid a nasty and troublesome wing/fuselage joint (hopefully!).

Both versions depicted have interesting service histories, the second version (R for Robert) you can actually see at Brooklands.

I'll be doing the R for Robert variant, as I had cameo role in the restoration of the tail on the real Loch Ness Wimpy.
