Hi all, Two BAe hawk questions: 1: 100 Squadron fuselage bars black & Yellow or Blue & Yellow, I ask as most decal companies have them as black & yellow, but recently I saw a photo of a 100 Squadron Hawk with what looked like blue and Yellow bars, this of course could well be film, digital downloading or just light, so basically I am just checking that they are in fact Black & yellow checks? 2: Do all squadrons operating black painted hawks have a white border to the fuselage bars? TIA Doug S. |

Hi Doug, 100 Sqn is definitely roundel blue and yellow checks. Crown Copyright Not all bars have white outline (e.g. 208R Sqn don't) but the roundels do. Wikipedia Fair use! Check Pics of the aircraft you are modelling (sorry)! There are some useful pics by serial here on the Hawk SIG Website: http://hawkajt.myfastforum.org/forum26.php Rob Edited by Boffin, Apr 3 2014, 11:06 PM.
