A quick poll, given the choice between Airfix or Tamiya mag. which would you choose? I am mainly interested in road vehicles of all types so does that suggest Tamiya? I do like the clear layout of the Airfix mag but does seem biased towards Aircraft etc. Welcome your thoughts. Andy. |

I tend towards Airfix, but then I mainly build aircraft and the Airfix revival has really worked for me. The fact that they get early builds of the new stuff also informs my choice. Looked at Tamiya Mag a few times, but never really got into it, as I found it to be armour centric. |

Airfix mag has had a fair selection of vehicle articles since its inception, but they've been absent for the last couple of months. I'm sure they have more in the pipeline, although any general modelling magazine is likely to tilt in favour of aircraft and armour. peebeep |

My main consideration between the two is cost per page - the mags cost about the same but AIrfix has x2 or more pages, which although not always of interest, the size gives it a better chance of containing something I'm interested in. That said, I do like the Tamiya mag. |

Why limit yourself to just the 2? Military Illustrated Modeller Armour is as the title suggests, pure armour. I hav a 2 year subscription to the digital aviation version and have personally found it flawless, and being digital. It is half the cost of a "hard copy" I've gotten airfix mag a few times, no too shabby. |
