After looking online for sometime can anybody confirm that Classic Airframes produced a kit of the airborne early warning version of the Gannet?

Better still, can you post phots of it?

Do you want rid if it?

Thanks.

I know there was a box art on their web site, but I don't think they ever issued the kit, I would have sold a kidney to finance one!

Scalemates record it as released, but I'm very sceptical about that claim. There's no evidence of the kit being released on t'internet.

It was never released. Only the version I sold you was but I seem to recall a conversion out there. FAA Models? AlleyCat?

There is a resin full kit, which looks super. AtoZee or AlleyCat?
Would love one myself and that may be the only way to get one as I can't see Airfix doing an AEW Gannet anytime soon

There is a conversion, which has to be new fuselage not just the radome.

That's in 1/72nd, not 1/48th. I keep looking at it but never quite taking the plunge!

My bad Drewe, put it down to the brain fog
Should have connected the dots to Classic Airframes herp derp

Would be an expensive leap of faith for me never tackled a resin kit before.
I don't fancy tying up a relatively large wadge of cash in the stash.
Not that several Airfix kits would fair much better

Must stick to the pledge of abstinence
