First of all I want to apologise to peebeep, drewe and any other forum member I might of pi**ed off with a thread I started asking for information. The truth of the matter is, believe it or not, is that I never owned or really used a computer untill this xmas. Just before xmas I bought myself some model kits I hoped to make, so, without my knowledge, my wife searched out this forum for me and when I looked at it on her computer, I was hooked, so because of that my wife bought me a laptop and a notebook thingy for christmas. After peebeep gave me instructions about photobucket, I tried it and got myself an account with them, suprisingly for me that was quite easy but then I had to copy a pic to my clipboard, which I did, I spent hours trying to find my computer clipboard, even telling my wife (Gaby) that they have sold her a computer without a clipboard untill eventually I found out that a computer clipboard is not a phisycal thing, is that correct? Anyway, to cut to the chase, (is that what people say?) this thread is only an apology to whoever I my have upset due to my computer ignorance. I am certainly not lazy and I am very interested, it's just that being new to a computer gives me a little stress when it won't do what I want it to. I know what you are all thinking, (how can somebody not have a computer in this day and age) but that's me! For the last time, Truly sorry for being an ignorant ass, please forgive me and if you will accept me I will become a positive member on this forum. Thanks, Dave |

Apology accepted. It's a pity you didn't explain your situation before, I'm quite happy to help out as far as possible knowing where people are at. For the record, don't bother about finding your clipboard, all you need to know is that the data is copied on to it. Once you have it copied, navigate to where you want to paste the data, click into the text editor then right click your mouse and a menu will appear. Click 'paste' and it will be pasted onto the editor and it's job done. Can I suggest that rather post up on the board in frustration, either add further questions on the board or use private messaging if you're worried about looking like a Klutz? The truth is nobody will think any less if you keep asking questions, but if you're feeling shy a PM is only between yourself and the recipient. I'm of the opinion that there will be no mileage in any further debate here, so I'm going to close this topic and everybody can move on. peebeep |
