Hope this is the right forum! Can any one tell me if the 'S' tank used some of the Centurion running gear ( wheels and tracks ) as I want to build the trumpeter kit nand have been told that the running gear is one of the worst pats of the kit. |

No problem asking here, we don't have special forums for such questions! The wheels look very similar to Centurion wheels, but the track pattern is quite different. I'm not really a tread head, maybe somebody versed in the way of these things can provide a more informative answer? peebeep |

Strv-103C used basically Diehl 570 track , as on the Leopard 2 (well, when I say the same, there were minor differences, but nothing that would worry all but the most picky in 1/35th scale, and they were manufactured by Diehl), the Strv-103B used an all metal track without pads, I think single pin "dead" rather than the "live" twin pin style of the Diehl. ISTR the -103's roadwheels are identical to the Chieftain's rather than the Centurion, but that's dredged from the depths of my memory so don't take it as gospel!
