Reducing the Shelf of Doom; Cunning Plan

I've just had a minor re-organisation in the man-cave, mainly so I can get some more books actually on the shelves - well, you can never have too many books. But one consequence of this will also helps me in my quest to keep building and not to let things languish: the "shelf of doom" is a mere fraction of the size it was, it's full up with two kits on it, and I can't put any more on until I finish one that's already on there. Cunning, eh? ;)

Sounds like a plan.
I have a wardrobe of doom :(
Not sure if a KUTA would help or not without a shot off remission

Actually, would anyone be interested in a Shelf of Doom GB?

Well I would but I don't have a shelf of doom.... I have finished every kit I have ever started.

That's a plan, I'd bet everybody has two or three contenders (mine is about a dozen). Any takers on this idea?

Well, it's confession time ... I have had a Gnat sitting waiting for me to get the hang of the florescent paint.
No big deal, but it was in the window.
The last time I looked, it had disappeared. Yep - puff ... in the flash of your eye - disappeared :ninj: . When we move the bench in a couple of weeks I fully expect it to reappear just under one of my feet :hypnotised: and I hope I see it in good time :wooo:

This was a sort-of new year's resolution for me. I say sort-of as I decided on a clear up happening over the Christmas holidays, it's still ongoing though.
No new kits started, with three part-builds just getting their finishing touches now.

Cheers,
Bill.

I have 2 kits that I will need some form of 'inspiration' to finish (both helicopters!). A Shelf of Doom GB could be the answer....

Good Lord, 39 wips....blimey. Perhaps I should start a few, then bugger off so that I am in the same boat. Feeling left out.

I wonder what is the longest running (or not) project on the shelf of doom?

Cheers,
Bill.

I think my oldest is an Airfix 1/72 Harrier GR1 for the ATF Cold War Jets GB July 2008.

I've got an Airfix Aerial Arrow in the garage I started about 35 years ago
And an M38A1 I started about 12 years ago! With an etch set B)

A shelf of doom GB sounds great.

And for those of us that build at the frantic pace of an arthritic glacier can replace our unfinished builds on the shelf if we don't finish in the allotted time, ready for the next S of D GB.

Simples
