A little pic of my latest project.

The Monogram/Revell 1/72 B-52D.

I will be building this one as a B-52C using a Microscale decal sheet.

Rescribing this beastie was quite challenging at times due to limited space on the workbench.

Cheers Paul.

No chance of doing the rippling I'm afraid as I need to get my skates on and get this done for the Cold War SIG display @SMW.

With work being as busy as it is at the mo, I will be very lucky to have it finished in time.

The forward fuselage skin rippling happens when the aircraft is depressurized at lower altitudes.

If one is pressurized on the ground, the ripples disappear.

Didn't know that! Always summat new to learn. The BUFF at Duxford is well rippled, I thought it was bending in the fuselage that caused it.

You make me almost want to drag mine out and do some more on it. Resisting urge ...

I think I've assembled all the bombs, though.

Great work Chris, what did you use for the silver finish? looks very smooth. Not something easily achievable on such a large surface area.

Cheers mate.

The beast is getting closer to being finished.

All the wheels touch the ground too.

The wings will not be fixed in place as it may be easier to transport it to shows if they are removable.

I've just looked at the final article on Ready for Inspection and it looks great. The issue of wing droop is a major concern with these beasts and you've got it just right! Excellent.
