I have got to a point where I need to leave the Rota Landy, so I thought I'd try something different!

The sprues - blink and you'll miss them!

Different? I think also interesting ... but it is an A Model, after all!

I'm far more interested in the conversation going on on the lap top

"Hey Harriet- you been buying more kits"

"Ummm- why yes"

"Can't you buy shoes like other women?"

"I already have plenty of shoes.." "Besides, shoes aren't fun"

"So, is my dinner ready- or have you been modelling all day?"

"Look gayboy- see this 1/48 Merlin with razor sharp carbon steel cable cutters- take this and.... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX system malfunction

Right, Mr Mental - I will deal with you in a moment!

Andy, yes it is - I think it was experimental more than anything putting the wings on!
Polish Swidnik (like the one at the museum, I spent loads of time drilling the rivets on!) SM1

Right Mr Mental:

Right, so I read this review - well it's incomplete - and I don't know what I will end up with ...

But here's a bit of a start!

The canopy is three pieces, which as far as I can see 'perch' on the end of the fuselage!

Hey ho, here we go!
Keep your fingers crossed for me, won't you?

It may not look like it, but I have actually made progress!

Life on this modeller's bench has improved 100 fold after buying a bottle of Zip Kicker!
Anyone who has made an Amodel kit will understand the concept of " I think it goes there, but I'd better glue it on quickly"

It's ready for paint ...

Hi H
Aaaa see you have found kicker...... that'll help things along no end

However I am struggling to see how you will get that pilot in the cockpit? :tease:

It's not having one - mind you I'm rather glad there wasn't one in the kit! :hmm:

The Pilot straps it on his back and uses the helicopter like a jetpack Andy.

Looking good Harriet.

Now I understand ... (note to self - must get that jacket with those nice big buckles back to Mrs T ;) ). No, that's symptomatic of my always cluttered bench - even when I clear and tidy it! :wooo:

You may see him finished at some point, but I've got to redo the eyes ... :ninj:

Looks good. It don't half remind me the Bristol Sycamore though.

Hadn't thought of that - but the Russians did tend to "borrow ideas" so I guess that's why!

Got a couple of Sycamore's, so perhaps I'll have to make one sooner than I thought!

Right I have now applied paint - it's still hideous - and so I'm leaving it to cure before I have to take some of the raised bits off!

I was talking to someone at the weekend, and when I mentioned AModel he grimaced, and I think that he was right! Thankfully I only have a couple more kits of theirs, but I will steer clear in future if I can!

Ah well, onwards and upwards!

Seem to recall hearing that the general feeling about AModel is that the more recent kits have been getting better.
Am sure someone will be able to confirm/refute that claim

Likewise am sure it will look grand Harriet!
