Hi guys, Got most of the cockpit done this weekend, and picked up some decals for a Singapore Air Force aircraft at the Cosford show last weekend. Watch this space! The cockpit. Tamiya XF-1 with a bit of drybrushing and then Johnson's Klear on the faces of the instruments. ![]() ... and the bits I have stuck together so far! ![]() Cheers, Phil. |

You can't have enough Billy-Bunters!! This is one of my all-time favourite kits. The F6 was even better, correcting a few 'issues' with the FGA9 kit. As for the cockpit and seat - as good as any you'll find in a plastic kit IMHO!! Well done Revell and well done Phil for starting it...... |

Hi guys, Revived this one after a bit of a mojo loss over the summer months. The good news is that it's coming back more and more. Got the main construction done and on Sunday I did the priming with Alclad white primer. I was going to use Alclad grey primer but the screw cap has stuck shut on my bottle! Lucky I had some white in another bottle that I was using for my Airbus A319 build. Anyway... Primer done, pre-shade done (is that becoming a bit of a modelling faux pas these days?), and I've done the underside colour for the Republic of Singapore Air Force scheme. I have little more than "light grey" as a colour reference. But I came across a 1/72 build online, where the builder had used white, with a drop or two of grey, mixed by eye. ![]() ![]() More soon I hope - not long to complete it for Telford! Phil. |

Thanks for the comments guys. A bit of an update on the paintwork this evening. Generally going well. The brown is Xtracrylix dark earth adjusted with a bit of white. The green is Gunze, mix of RAF dark green, interior green and white. The missing colour will be straight RAF dark green, Gunze. ![]() ![]() Had a bit of lifting of the Xtracrylix, so that will have to be re-done. Going to avoid Xtracrylix if at all possible from now on I think. It clogs and doesn't spray as nicely as Tamiya acrylic and certainly not as good as Gunze. Cheers, Phil. |

Looking good mate, three colour camo is always a winner. Shame about the paint lift, one of my pet hates! |

Another update, getting closer to the finish line and to Telford at the weekend! A couple of pretty monotonous decalling sessions (doing the stencils) and here we are... ![]() Cheers, Phil. |
