First of the year from my work bench was the 1/48 Hasegawa Focke-Wulf Fw190A-/U14 with Torpedo.

The next model to grace my workbench was the Hobbyboss 1/48 McDonnell F3H Demon with a Pavla resin seat.

Come February I was excited to get the Great Wall Hobby 1/48 Douglas TBD Devastator. I also added this to a Skunkmodels 1/48 wooden deck with Some Tamiya figures.

March saw me tackling the Hasegawa 1/48 Boeing EA-18G Growler which I added to the Skunkmodels 1/48 Nimitz class carrier deck section.

In April I built the golden oldie Academy 1/72 Grumman Avenger with decals from Xtradecal “Yanks with Roundels “

Next up was the Revell 1/72 Handley Page Halifax.

This was another Golden Oldie, the Inpact 1/48 Gloster GladiatorMk.I

Probably the most enjoyable build of the year, Eduards 1/72 Grumman F6F-5n Nightfighter Hellcat. Just a sublime little kit to which I added the Brassin resin engine.

A rare foray (for me) into 1/32 with the Revell issue of the classic matchbox Supermarine Spitfire Mk.22

Posted Image

Another commission was this Kinetic 1/48 Grumman EA-6B Prowler which had Eduard coloured PE set and exterior set along with Aires resin seats and Afterburner decals for “Jammin’ Jihad” with scratchbuilt intake covers and Eduard RBF tags.

Posted Image

Posted Image

The next commission was a Hasegawa 1/48 BAe Harrier GR.7 with Aires ejection seat.

Posted Image

Airfix 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.22 with the addition of Master brass gun barrels.

Posted Image

Probably my most challenging build of the year was the Kinetic 1/48 Grumman C-2 Greyhound. This included Eduard etched interior and cargo seat belts along with Mastercasters wheels and SAC metal u/c legs with Caracal decals and a headache of a masking job for that sunrise scheme.

Cyberhobby’s somewhat disappointing but ultimately enjoyable 1/72 Sea King HC.4 saw out November.

Posted Image

And this month saw me complete yet another golden oldie in the form of a Frog 1/72 Boeing B-17E Flying Fortress which I rescribed and added Quickboost props and guns with AdAstra masks and True Details wheels. A triumph in turd polishing!

Nice sharp work as ever Mike but for me the Spit 22 really catches my eye and the C-2 is just on another plane altogether.

cheers

Great quality and variety throughout mate. I'm always drawn towards the naval stuff; love the Demon and Prowler, but knowing how much effort went into the Greyhound, that wo uld be my pick of the bunch
