Can anyone enlighten me as to the purpose of the ose black areas on the fuselage sides of Seakings? the ones just aft of the sponson struts?
I am guessing the ones by the exhaust outlets are heat sensitive and repellent to exhaust stains?

Could it be something as simple as marking out the steps? :hmm:

Concur with Shaun. The black would also prevent any scuff marks showing up.
