WOW, just, wow

I think the fighter nose single stage Mosquito is right up there with the Spitfire and Concorde as an aircraft of completely perfect line. It is so perfectly aesthetically perfect, not a line out of place anywhere. A truly beautiful aircraft.

You won't get an argument for anything you said there  .

It's apparently built from scratch. I guess using recreated, or old jigs. Will be off to Virginia after one maiden flight in New Zealand.

I have a feeling Virginia may be a holiday destination in the near future.

It was created using new tool jigs and apparently the company will build one for anyone willing to pay, as they still have all the jigs and what not. As for coming to England their has been some rumours that it will do a single season on the English Airshow circuit either 2013 or 2014. So fingers crossed.

It is reportedly coming to England to display and join the British Civil Register and it is hoped it will join either the BBMF or hopefully be operated as a trust akin to Vulcan XH558.
This has been covered over the last year or so in Flypast magazine.

I hope you're right Mike. The Virginia thing was mentioned on a few sites, so lets hope it's wrong.

That's not strictly true mate, the Mossie you're referring to doesn't exist yet! The Flypast article was in relation to an organisation known as The People's Mosquito, who are planning on returning an NF.36 to the air, operating in a similar way to the Vulcan as you elude to. AFAIK, they have very little in the way of genuine parts, and have supposedly been in contact with Avspecs to have much of the airframe built there. I believe the BBMF have made no official statement regarding any involvement from them in operating the aircraft.

Regarding the FB.26, I believe many got excited about the prospect of seeing it over here when reading the aircraft was to fly in the summer of 2012, forgetting that the summer in NZ is actually our winter! Therefore, I'd be extremely surprised if we do get to see her over here at all, though never say never....

What a beaut!

Seamus, I've taken the liberty of using the flash code in your post so that the vid is visible. Youtube embedding doesn't work with the forum software.
