Well I am now kicking myself for not having made the effort before. There were so many firsts for me I actually filled up the camera card!
And it was so civilized aswell. Most people turned up after midday (so I needn't have got up at stupid o'clock) and it wasn't that busy. I nice relaxing day getting real close to some amazing machines.

I shan't fill up the site with loads of pics, but here are a couple of the stars of the show.

Gene DeMarco in the RE8. Those guys at TVAL are doing some amazing stuff!

And Kermit Weeks in the Albatros DVa

A quite incredible sight, seeing those two in the air together.

So, I will be making that trip more regularly in future and am looking forward to seeing the Comet racer in the air in October.

cheers

Nice one Grant, they really are stunning aren't they? Had the pleasure to see them at Duxford at the weekend, loved every second of their routine B)

Old Warden is a delightful place too isn't it? Nowhere else quite like it. Am planning to make it up there for the Autumn show too, which looks like it will be spectacular with so many jets lined up, and am hoping to be able to make the Shuttleworth Uncovered evening show in a couple of Saturdays time also as that'll likely be the last chance to see these two beauties before they become residents of the RAF museum.

Catch them while you can!
