Basic answer V8 with massive supercharger, not so basic answer possibly and I am going out on a limb here : 455-CID Pontiac engine heavily supercharged, it looks very very similar to that of the mad max interceptor engine. Which was rumoured to be either a Cleveland 351 V8 or the aforementioned Pontiac. or finally a Hemi 426 supercharged This is probably your best bet as it looks pretty close, especially with the placement of the exhaust stacks, but hey I know jack about engines...well... only daimler benz ones and at that the DB 600/601 series... |

I think you have nailed it their bud, looks like the right dimensions, just a tad simplified, means you can go nuts with the super detailing. |

I'm more concerned with Buoyancy! Its going to be mounted on a surfboard The board is 12" long and the figure driving it is 7" tall! That makes it about 1/10th scale Its MPC's kit no.100 - Stroker McGurk and His Surf Rod (1964) ![]() |

Oooh er, nor can I! I have been told about this Apparently a lot of Hemi's ended up in boats ( so I'm told by the OB ) Edited by Harriet, Aug 24 2012, 08:31 PM.

Yes from the research I did today, that seemed to be a fact and in the its current set-up it seems quite apt Amazingly the whole kit has been moulded in pink plastic - seen lots of colours before but never pink! And yes the surfboard is indeed 12" long ~ its going to be a monster - really looking forward to the build I have not seen many of these knocking about Any ideas on colour scheme for the board? ![]() |

for the board that has to be flames rippling along from the leading edge...well that's what I would do, just go nuts. |
