Hi all, Made a bit of a mistake with this purchase, but now that I have them I think I should give them a go. Question 1: British Army Quad Colours: I have pictures of the quad in a dark brown (Service Brown)?, olive green, olive & earth camo and olive & black camo. Can i assume that the olive/black is a post WW2 scheme, and therefore not appropriate for a WW2 version? I take it the dark brown was for home use, whilst the green was for Service in Europe, (Sand for North Africa). I'm not asking for the actual shade as I know this generally causes disagreements so I'm just asking for help with colour names, however if you would like to list colours by paint manufacturer that's fine by me. (I tend to use Humbrol or Valejo) Question 2: Has anybody here tried glazing the kit as none is included in the kit? Are the apatures small enough for crystal klear or will I have to break out the clear acetate? Any notes or information gratefully received, thanks in advance. Doug. Suggest you check out this site for colours. The glazing apertures are a bit marginal for Krystal Klear/Clearfix, I'd go with thin acetate behind the framing. You could always give the Krystal Klear a whirl, it's easy enough to remove if it goes wrong. peebeep |

Will try that then, might get away with krystal Klear on the side windows but not sure about the main screen. Will also try thinning the interior apatures as well if I am going to use clear acytate as the posts seem very thick. Cheers for that peebeep. |

Hi Doug. Having built loads of thease for wargameing once and converting many to 1/4 tonners and water carriers etc. They are rather basic. You should with care be able to us any thin clear plastic for the main windows, and you are right in the thickness, but again with care you can use Klearfix for the smaller windows, I suggest you remove from fret and sand down, then spray/paint main colour, then glaze before assembly , its alot easier that way .The site that Paul has here is the best site for colours of UK vehicles. Black was used in the war In Italy for Instance, but also in North Africa with Khaki green and sand. By the way was that not C8 for this Morris tractor. Hope to see some pictures once you get started.
