Hi Mike I have the ICM kit and am going to do a Republican scheme too. Is it the colours that you require? If you use Humbrol colours may be able to suggest some that are normally used. Will try and sort something out asap Assuming you are not in a hurry but if I forget please give me a kick if I forget. ps The kit instructions are not that helpful. iirc the main colours are something like Hu30 topside and Hu65 undersides. have a feeling Hu30 may be too dark, but a green over light blue is most likely how they were delivered from the Soviet Union like the Letov S231 in my sig. The brown is going to be something like Hu 93/94, but would not be all over as in the illustration. as I say will try and confirm asap Edited by Walrus, Aug 10 2012, 03:56 PM.

Well with my expert knowledge and smart observation i called it 100% wrong! Just remembered the instructions were in a folder and they have the same scheme (white 1) Top colour is sand. The underside was correct at light blue so in fairness I was only half wrong! lol Don't recall seeing anything with overall sand. They usually have some green (sometimes with red) camo applied over the top. Overall schemes are normally green or silver. |

Model Master 1706 Sand translates as Hu121 Model Master 1562 Flat Light Blue is non existent according to my colour conversion chart. Hu65 should be okay though. ![]() |

imho Hu121 will be too light. Think that is Stone and lacks the ochre quality. Incidentally AModels state Hu63 sand and Hu65 (for the green Hu30 but will bear in mind the satin green you quoted) Hu63 looks the best option for sand. Not sure what real experts think. Hu93 looks a bit greener and darker |

Should have realised it was Hu116 myself. Don't get me started on colours Mike. It drives me nuts mate. and is guaranteed to start a generational blood feud on the forums! ![]() |
