After just seeing Jellys latest wip of a Ju-88 it has stirred me to go out and finally buy one, now a year or so ago a new tool one was released that was slated as best in scale, but I cannot for the life of me remember who it was, either Revell or Italeri. Either way I throw the question out to the masses, what is the best 1/72 Ju-88. I'm looking for accuracy, and decent internal detail. |

Revell released their new tooling last year, which is essentially a downscaled version of their 1/32 kit. As a result, detail is superb, inside and out, in fact probably one of the best cockpits I've seen in the scale. Not built mine so can't really comment on any fit issues, though I understand there may be some. Hasegawa also do a very nice 88, which undoubtedly fits like a glove (not built mine either!) but will come in at more than twice the Revell kit. As ever, swings and roundabouts, but I don't think you can go too far wrong with either kit

The Revell kit is simply outstanding at considerably less cost than Hasegawa. The Zvezda kits are pretty good as well and don't break the bank. peebeep |

The Zvezda kit is excellent, and really not very far behind the Revell kit, and having built mine, I can confirm that they go together beautifully as well. I think the Revell kit might be even cheaper though, so it's a bit of a no brainer unless you want to go for a night fighter or similar. Jen. |
