While waiting for my other ships to continue, have started Dreadnought.
Looks like its going to take some planning on this build, but do have a few sites to get information from,'lucklie'.
Here's a few pictures on the progress so far.

Two of the 26 3in secondry guns with brass barrels, maybe should have added a coin say 5p to show the size!!!!.
Have added today portholes to the top superstructure.

Been having lots of slowdown on this forum for some reason and it takes 3 or 4 minutes before I can do anything.
I am a moderator on 2 other forums and understand some of the problems.

I have not been able to upload pictures etc so will not be able to post until its sorted.

I apoligise for putting it so bluntly on my first pass here and have edited to explain better.

;)

Hi Paul.
Well do not know what you did, but its working again ok.

Here's some more progress with Dreadnought.
Have made up the top main mast and it goe.s together very well, be it small pieces.

Posted Image
Used plastic for the base supports and all are not fixed till the wood deck is down.

Posted Image
The main armament are all fitted out and ready for painting.

Posted Image
The top portholes have etchings on and its now time to paint the hull and superstructure before placeing the wood deck down, hatches and water tight doors etc will be added later.
There's lots to go on this ship, with one 3 in brass gun comeing that was missing in the add on kit its full steam ahead.

Thanks Paul.

Yes its a very Interesting build to say the least, the Instructions that come with the add on kit are very vague and you need other sources to find were every thing fits, lucky there are other forums that give you some of the answers, 'but not all' :D .

Hopefully more to follow. :codger:

Top centre section has its sig brown paint on, next its putting all the smaller bits(guns/searchlights) in.

I must add that the wood decks are very easy with care to place, this being my first one.
Have four others to do and am glad I got them, cannot praise them enuff.

Ok moved on a tad with the Dreadnaught.
Started on the superstructure, this has to be painted in stages as parts have to fit in at the same time with the Admirals work needing railings both sides, here I have started on the inner railings and bottom guns and searchlights are fitted.

Here I have continued with the Bridge and its supports.

Have added both railings and started on the items on deck.

Going slow but a great challenge this is.
