Hello Peeps

It's been a little while since I've talked to any of you and I hope your all well ?

On to business I'm trying to paint paint some 1:48 figures and I have some Japanese chaps to paint
and I can't seem to get the skin tone right.

I have been using Citadel colours none of which seem right

I have also tried the AV colour range too

NB I really don't wish to use oils as I personally think this scale is too small to be messing about with oils

There that may have set the cat amongst the pigeons

TBH I would think about starting with a Caucasian skin tone as base and darken with some washes. Japanese complexions vary from pale to dark and are not that far off western tones.
I think Citadels range might work with some mixing.

I was told by a chap from IPMS Salisbury (I think) about a wash that Citadel make - he seemed to swear by it. Not tried it, but from the figures that were on the stand at Yeovilton I would say it was good. Can't remember the name, but it should be obvious, should you decide to try it.

You might try the range that model color do with five types of skin tone, they are water based and can be used as washs with a little water added.

This is all I use on figure complexions. :D
