A while ago an acquaintance on another board bemoaned the fact that there were no decals for the Tornado F2 prototype to be found. It struck me that as the graphics on the aircraft are black, then inkjet printed decals would be perfectly feasible, so I said I would give it a go at doing some artwork. Some months later (those who know me well will know that I don't simply procrastinate, I invented it) and they're pretty much ready to roll:![]() Obviously you would need kit or aftermarket roundels and stencils. Also you will need two Tornado kits, a GR1 and an F3, the GR1 to supply the rear fuselage, burner cans and fin/rudder. I've got to work up some instructions, maybe this weekend, if I can find the wherewithal, but the rugby is on TV. The artwork is set up at 1/32, 1/48 and 1/72, but any scale is possible if you know somebody with a big enough plotter! If you're interested - and I realise that this probably has limited appeal - PM me with you're preferred scale. I haven't worked out costs yet, but it won't be a huge amount. peebeep |

I think the F.2 decal idea is fantastic, as you know, but thinking about what you've created so far, actually, I doubt I'll be the only one, but I think I suspect that the SIG decal will actually be more useful in the long term. At most, I'd reckon on building 2 F.2's (honestly, more likely just the one), but I'd like to use the SIG decal a couple of times on bases etc. I'm also thinking of incorporating it onto the fin on a WHIF build (Unless Andy can swing getting it done for real!) Anyhow, just a thought James P.S. there'll be a live demo of what I mean on Sunday - I plan to put the SIG decals on the 1/144 base Edited by Paveshadow, Sep 28 2012, 01:43 AM.

I'm quite happy to talk about SIG matters here, but it might be better if we did it on the SIG forum. For discussion: what size SIG logos would you like. We could chew over it on Sunday. peebeep |
