Contra-rotating prop Hurricane

I have a copy of 'Britains Wonderful Air Force', published by Odhams Press in 1941, and on page 151 there is a photo of a Hurricane fitted with a contra-rotating airscrew.

The photo view is cropped from the front, so that the six props fill the frame, and looks heavily retouched (not unusual in official 1941 pics).

Does anyone have any info on this? My Hurricane references are a little scanty, and I didn't find anything on Google (which may just mean I'm rubbish on Google).

It had me intrigued.

Any chance of a scan of that photo as that may help in a positive ID.
