I've built up a large collection of Games Workshop's 28mm Warhammer 40K figures. I like painting them as a bit of a relief from more serious stuff.

Janet bought me a new book on painting them in a style I'd not tried before for christmas. This is my first attempt at this style, its a little more stark than intended some of which I think is an artefact of the photography some of which is me not blending the shades enough. I fully expect to get better.

Nice Nob matey!

I've got the book you mention, has helped me no end with painting Cadian Imperial Guard figures. I've also used the same methods with good results on 35th scale too.

Regards,

Steve

Good work THC
What are you using as a wash? It looks like it is just a thinned down paint which is harder to control for blending

Having said that, he is table top quality and if you have an entire horde of Orkes to paint they would all look super together like this in a WAAAGH against some hummies!

Please put your nob away in public. You can get arrested for that!

I must say that really does look impressive. Have you tried using the GW washes, I always found them to be rather effective.
