So in an effort to improve the lighting at my modelling desk I have installed a set of LED light bars I managed to get from Ikea. A simple frame to mount them on and there you go ,Bjorn Stronginthearm's your fathers brother!

There is no other lighting but the LEDs in that photo.

Here is the LED set I am using.

I'll let you know if it works!

a cordless drill is needed for the Sea Vixen? YIKES!! :wooo:

On another note, I bought some similar lights from Ikea for my bench and they have helped with just giving that extra needed bit of light. I think you will like the ones you got.

No Mike, the drill was not used and is not needed on the Vixen, the Valiant possibly, but the Vixen NO. Its just there because I had just finished the frame to hang the lights on.

That's a great idea! I found my modelling improved when I installed an IKEA positionable fluorescent strip lamp. Great light, just where I need it. Funny the difference a good light source makes.

Not the best pics in the world but you can see the two lights mounted underneath the cabinets on my bench. They really help.

A desk lamp hasn't improved my skills Osher
Just makes it easier to see how shoddy my work is!

Nice idea Rory will be interested in hearing how you get on.

edit: That is sweet Mike
I only have an angle poise lamp and a triple spot lamp which have made a difference
But the pics have given me food for thought.
