Hey all,

Yesterday Mandy, Colin and I spent a good part of the day at the Scottsdale Air Fare in Scottsdale Arizona. We had met up with a Super Hornet pilot while we were out on Friday night so we went out and met him and to see what else was going on. All in all it was a very small show with next to no flying but seeing 4 Super Bugs on the ramp sure was cool. There were also a few Tuskeegee Pilots in attendance and I have a real tie in with them as I had sureved in the 302 FS Hellions that they had originated. Very cool indeed. Another surprise was the beautiful P-51C that was on display along with the B-17 Sentimental Journey and the B-25 that I had filmed the day before departing their home station for Scottsdale. There was also a beautiful Tucano there which is now privately owned and sports an all glass cockpit. It also flew a few flybys and I must say I was very impressed. Got some great ref pics for my Alleycat kit :)

Anyway, here are some pics for you to peruse.

Mike the weather was amazing! I wore long sleeves there but quickly took that off and wore a t shirt. It was much nicer than the weather in your part of the world :)

Rich,

The Cobra is also a real one and not a replica. It sounded awesome too!!

The video I sent you the other day was from our local model show which is held where the B-17 is based and it was taking off to go to this show at a different airport. It was freaking awesome and the video does not do it justice. I wish the B-25 had done the same thing. BTW, I discovered that the twin engined B-25 is indeed louder than a B-17 when taking off.
