Hi Folks

Just got back from a week's holiday in Fishguard, Wales.

I can recommend a visit to the Shorts Sunderland Flying Boat Museum at Pembroke Dock. It's a very small museum with two rooms. One room contains a shop and historical info. The other room displays restored aircraft parts as well as scale models of flying boats. When I was there two old boys were busy removing rust from salvaged parts. The flying boat itself, T9044, is still underwater but they plan to retrieve what's left of it sometime next year, I think.

Can also recommend a visit to the Welsh Spitfire Museum at Haverfordwest. Again, small museum and aircraft parts only. They plan to restore this Spitfire at a cost of £1.5m relying totally on donations!

One word of warning. Give them a ring first to check they're open!
