Evening guys,

Been ploughing my way through some shots from yesterdays terrific Autumn airshow. Some fantastic flying with the Viper, Meteor and Spad my personal highlights. Conditions were tricky throughout, with either back or non existent lighting, hence the gratuitous use of arty angles and monochrome! Not my best set in the world, but it was rather pleasant to spend less time shooting and more time watching.

Outstanding images as ever Shaun.

Great shot of Animal (JE+J), possibly my favourite Spitfire. I was there when TFC first rolled it out in the silver scheme and Stephen Grey did his Joker routine at Flying Legends.

Great to see '434 all fixed up and airborne.

Thanks very much guys :)

Paul, I agree, my favourite Spit too (not including the Seafire XVII ) It was actually a replacement for TFCs Sea Fury which went tech on the Saturday, hardly a bad consolation! Pete Kynsey certainly gave it the beans on Sunday B)

Jen, it certainly is. Made it's first post restoration flight in June where it looked more like this:

It's since received a new coat of paint at RAF Odiham and looks really rather lovely :)

Certainly does, and a far cry from the way it looked when I first saw it. I really should have taken photo's, because it is almost unbelievable that the hulk I worked on in a dark, damp and draughty shed now looks like that and is flying!

Fantastic stuff Shaun, thanks very much for sharing.

Very moving to see 591 back in 203 AFS markings....my dad flew her whilst at RAF Driffield!
