I bought this very nice ex JB models Bedford Tactical refueler. What are the best colours on this truck? I am planning on several more and they have to go to my diorama set somewhere in the 80's with some good aircraft on the flightline like the Jaguar Buccaneer and Phantom II's

The instructions say Humbrol 33 matt Black and Humbrol 30 Dark green or Humbrol 93 Desert yellow main will be the the 2 tone camo

I used 30 on a Landy model and it was nothing like my recollection of the vehicles I'd ridden in at RAF Odiham in 2008. I think Falcon used Tamiya NATO colours on one of his builds, NATO Green and NATO Black. I wouldn't use 33, it looks too stark and I'm not certain the original colour is a truly 'black'.

There's a pic here that might help.

I think Revell 9 would be a fair choice. In the first instance I'm not convinced that a true black was used, in the second it would soon weather/fade and you can argue that on a relatively small scale model then a very dark grey would be more appropriate in any case.
