It's 16:14 and the rebuilt Meteor T7 is on it's maiden test flight from Kemble as I type this....I have my spies!

Hopefully, it'll be on You Tube later this evening.

It'll be on show at Kemble Airshow this weekend but is unlikely to fly then, I've still got my fingers crossed.

Yes!

I'm going to Kemble this weekend so I'd love to see her on static if not able to fly - great work everyone responsible

I'm sure they'll have her parked up for all to see this weekend, she'd look great sat next to the two MB Meteors

I'll also be there at the weekend, Saturday only- hoping I remember to take my camera body along with me this year!

Ha! I doubt it's something I'll ever do again! ;)

I wouldn't expect much from my set, the weather for Saturday isn't looking too clever at the moment, far from ideal for photography. It's typical then that Sunday is looking much better, of course....:(

Some info on WA591's maiden flight, quoted from UKAR.

Quote:

There was some drama with an undercarriage indicator necessitating a mayday but recycling the undercarriage cured the fault and the aircraft landed safely following a forty minute flight, The pilot reported that it flew very smoothly.

It will be necessary to do some ground checks to verify and identify the fault before a further test flight.

Not as smooth a flight as they'd have hoped for I'm sure, but obviously good to read they got her down safe and sound in the end. I'm sure these faults will soon be sorted :)
