Cheers guys glad you like it so far. Over the last few days I have been slowly adding some further chipping as well as some oils to fade the paintwork and also added a filter as well. Also as you can see all the stowage is now complete including some gauze added to the rear bin.

The esso can was used by the British during the war but I thought it would be an interesting addition to the model suggesting the age old practice of swapping kit between allied forces. Next will be a matt coat and then the lower hull will be weathered using MIG pigments. I am also adding so RB models 30.cal barrels to the hull and co-ax positions.

Well blow me! there I am moaning about not getting enough time to model and I manage to get some more work done on the stuart! Matt coated the model yesterday and made a start on the figure. It's an Alpine figure with a warriors head painted entirely in acrylics. I started out with a base coat of tamiya xf60 dark yellow then used the base coat plus vallejo khaki and black and white to add shadows and highlights. Very pleased with how the uniform came out. All that is left to do now is add pigments to the lower hull of the tank, add metallic areas and finish the base off.

Cheers guys the Stuart is now complete. I finished off adding some dried mud to the lower hull using MIG powders european earth and light european earth. I built up the effects on the hull sides then used the same mixture on the tracks. More of this was added to the hedgerow cutter as well. The last bits where added such as the MG barrels and the lenses before adding the fuel stains on the rear deck. The base is just a simple one using polyfilla, sand and small stones followed by some static grass and finally a little tuft of long grass and a flower bush for a dash of colour.

I then sprayed tamiya earth and a light green for the grass. The pigments then finished off the earth areas and I added some oak leaves.
