Great work Eldo matey.

By the way the GPMG handle would be down when mounted, or in the fireing position, was raised only for carrying or removeing barrel.

Hi foxy
the main thing with the big gun is its exactly that the scale is far too big.
How hobby boss got that wrong is astonishing.
It is completely out of scale :wicked:

I have to admitt the 50 cal at the back doe's look oversized, but photo's do sometimes show this so did not pick up on it.

There are many firms that make the 50 cal Hvy MG and frets for them in the correct size, but do not know if you want to go down that road. :wooo: .

Yep I beleave the top two are ok, but your right on the HB one its way out.

I have a few in me spares box and have only made three with etchings on two and a full brass barrel etc on the other.
Being that I have not done many US Armoured vehicles so far, only light trucks and the M3 Lee and Grant with no AA gun fitted, plus the M3/5 series of light tanks for varies nations, thease only carried the 30 cal.

The latest with a 50 cal was an M2 White scout car.

Hope you get sorted.

Hello, thats looking brilliant! It does look like Hobby Boss have a few accuracy issues. I'm not a rivet counter but just the picture on the box brings up issues (jackal and clansman kit together although they are from different periods) I'm loving the build and the paint job, having used the slightly upgraded EWMIK version of this in Afghanistan last year I have only a few slight points as to the painting, the wing mirrors (if they are even still fitted) are a black matt plastic and are not painted, the same with the fuel cap which if it is painted then its bright yellow to indicate diesel, the metal boards on the side of the vehicle however are painted.
a couple of reference pics for you from my last tour.

The modifications I made were :-
transfered the spare wheel from the bonnet to the left side .
modified the gun rack..
painted the tyres in vallejo rubber
left off the drivers seat cradle
moved the rear seat
added straps to the bonnet front
added the bonnet cradle.
added the rucksacks and the bed rolls from Tamiya
the 2 figures are verlinden modified to fit.
