Hi All

Here's one of my ongoing projects. It's a Revell 1/35th Soviet KV1 built OOB, being painted into German colours after its capture. The figures are German Tank Repair Crew from MiniArt which I am modifying to suit the model.

I've done a bit of work on the base last night and tonight. The scene is the KV1 parked on a farm track where they are painting it. The Panzer Grey paint will be stored in the old oil drum where one of the soldiers can be seen filling up his pot from it. Captain Slave Driver is on the turret shouting at his men to hurry them up.

Done some more to the base today, finished the terrain off and started on the farm track surface. I will post some new pics in the few days.

A few more pics of last nights progress. Positioned the fence and cut it to size and the surface of the farm track has been laid.

No work tonight, it's the clubs committee meeting today.

No, I'm afraid it's out of a packet. I think it was made by Slaters, model railway scenics. It was just in one of my many boxes lying around.

Some new photos will be posted over the weekend.

Some more work done over the last couple of days. All of the surfaces, i.e. tracks and soil were airbrushed using various shade from Revell Aquacolor paints. The first layers of scatter have gone down and was left to dry when these were taken last night. I just need to shake off the loose bits now and touch up any bare patches. I have got some Greenline grass tuft and clumps on order, they should be here sometime this week.

The fence needs more work done to it. Has to be battered up a little more, a few chewed up areas and missing runs. Then once painted, glue it in place. I think some animals will add some humour to it. I'm looking at the Tamiya set and the donkey will ideal for what I'm thinking of, a couple of chickens will help too.

More update later.

Mick

Hi All

A little more work done last night. My grass arrived yesterday so I planted some of it and the fence was chewed up a bit and painted then glued in place. So here are some photos of the base without the tank and figures.

That's shaping up to be a mighty fine diorama!
Will the donkey be behind the fence or just passing by?

Cheers,
Nick

Work has started tonight to modify him by opening the mouth and having him looking upwards.

Donkey is part of the humour to the dio.

Just a little update, been a bit busy around the house, etc.

Finished making the figures and the main painting is done on them. I need to finish up some detailing work on them, i.e. dirt, paint spills and grease. I need to get a move on with this project as I would like to have it finished for the MAFVA Show at Duxford in June.

So here's the guys.

Well....

You remember that porn film that was banned many years ago, "Animal Farm"? :bouncy: :whip: It's nothing to do with that! :slaphead:

It will be to do with the diorama's title. :deadhorse:
