I am having bigtime trouble painting my US Mk.?? Bombs. I use Revell paint, but as quality dropped to very bad paint to use any longer I have to consider using humbrol as preffered paint. I used Revell #46 but looking for the humbrol paint it seems I have more than one colour to be used. What is best to use as I just cannot make out te difference in the coliurs and am colour blind. FS 34102 Humbrol 117 US Light Green FS 34079 Humbrol 116 or humbroll 155 TIA

Thanks Bazza! Well I did Bazza, but there is new formula which makes the paint very bad. I used it for ages but do change to humbrol. Every time you do not know what you are buying. Either the paint is already brush thinned, same tins other shop it is very thick paint and you keep thinning. So now I only buy Humbrol as that is the paint I can get nearby. Also Model Master is an option but prefer Humbrol as that is in. I have many more bom bs to paint without thinning ever minute and used humbrol for French bombs to paint. My series of RAF bombs is already done in humbrol paints. |

Have you tried Revell Aqua Color acrylics? Out of the pot they're the consistency of thin mud but, once they're diluted to normal consistency with water and acrylic flow enhancer (eg Winsor & Newton's), I've been quite pleased with the results. Brush painting only, mind: can't speak about airbrush. |

I have to do many bombs, airbrushing them would be impossible ad it would take much longer and I need to have them done. Hunbrol is brushpainting very good and I know the paint well. I take the advice of Bazza and take Humbrol 155. I post soon some pics of the bombs I have done so far.
