As I am waiting for the paint to arrive for the TUA I have been working on this today. Mainly planning the small diorama base. I am using parts from a bastion set which is actually laser cut wood and adapting them to suit the dio.![]() ![]() For more pictures of the steyr build see here. Steyr build pictures Pete |

Great work on the kommandeurwagon!! great to see a German afv thats not a tiger or panzer. As you can tell not a fan of German stuff usually but i do like this car. The camo is excellent as are the figures which give a sense of scale. Will lookk forward to seeing the base finished.

Well this fairly flew together today! here is the dio base almost done, the fence was painted with vallejo colours then scrubbed off with some course sandpaper. Next I used some MIG filters to weather the wood further then added some staining using thinned green to show moss and mould build up at the bottom of the fence panels.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Most of the plants where carved from stretched sprue, for the rest I used green line tufts and flowering plants then added some dead leaves from plus model. All the dio was sprayed using tamiya colours at low pressure followed by a dry brush over the grass with yellow oils. Then to finish off some MIG pigments where added. Here's the finished dio, ![]() ![]() More in ready for inspection Pete |
