More progress for you, Decals added I used the kit supplied ones for the hull and a set of archer Canadian number plates which have the correct red maple leaves on them. This was followed with two coats of MIG filters P246 grey for bright green then some very subtle chipping. The next stage involved using oils to add fading and staining to the vertical surfaces, compare the hull with the launcher which has yet to receive this treatment.

It all looks pretty stark at the moment but further weathering will tone it down as will the final matt varnish. The only areas to receive a dark pin wash so far are the engine intake screens, the rest will get a pin wash using a tan colour to show ingrained light dust. I have also painted all the periscopes using vallejo gunmetal blue which looks quite effective.

Cheers guys glad you like it so far, Today I have been adding more weathering in the form of tamiya earth and tamiya buff thinned heavily and sprayed on the lower portions of the hull and wheels to get a dusty finish, I have also added some more straps to the model on the hull sides.

looking as I envisaged so far. I have tried to vary the dust on each tire for some interest. As this is such a big bugger and tall in real life I have not drifted up the hull as much as I would say a Leopard or chally 2.

The next stage will be a matt varnish then adding all the smaller items followed by a few oil stains then a final dusting with pigments in selected areas.

Cheers Steve here's some more for you, better pictures I think as I was playing around with backgrounds yesterday.

Matt varnish applied and all the stowage and bits added, the tow cable is the kit supplied item which I thinned down and also made new ends. I also went over some areas with the thinned buff mixture and a fine brush for a few more dusty marks around bolt heads. The periscopes etc. had a coat of tamiya clear and the optics on the launcher received glazing using kristal klear.

The only pigments used where on the exhaust for staining. A few little tweaks still need to be done plus a base but it's almost there

Ah Ha! you don't have to wait long with me old chap! Today I have mostly been working on the base, nothing fancy just the usual stuff. I sprayed the grass tamiya khaki for a worn summer look and then sprayed the earth areas with tamiya buff. A pass with some MIG neutral wash was next to give the earth some depth then the grass got a dry brush with yellow ochre and the earth was dry brushed with some lightened buff.

The Canadian flag is actually a lapel badge given to me a few years ago by a smashing Canadian gent whilst I was touring the Flanders area battlefields. More pictures in ready for inspection,
