I'm wondering what's the best way to attach a canopy, sans fogging? I normally use Krystal Klear, but this isn't ideal. Thanks lads! |

I usually use white glue as it's self-gap filling and can be cleaned up with a damp kitchen towel or cotton bud. It may not dry perfectly clear but this should not be a problem if it's used sparingly. I actually use Gator Glue at the moment which appears to be like white glue but there is something added to the formula that makes it easy to work with and it grips like a limpet once set. Humbrol Clearfix is good, it dries perfectly transparent but cleanup is not so easy as it has a solvent base. peebeep |

I've got some PVA glue, that's the same as white glue, no? Never used Gator Grip. Clearfix is the same as Krystal Klear, no? |

If it's a good snug fit, I fit it dry then run Johnson's Klear into the joint. Any slight gaps which remain get filled with PVA. If the fit is a bit looser, I use watchmaker's cement, Cheers, Bill. |

PVA = white glue. I'm assuming the Krystal Klear you refer to is the Micro product which is another white glue variant. Clearfix is a perfectly transparent solution that dries perfectly transparent. One of the snags with white glue is that it may dry slightly opaque. peebeep |

Krystal Klear is the stuff you use to make windows for example, and can be used as a transparent adhesive (did I spell the name right?). |
