Evening guys,

Despite the plod's best efforts, I spent a thoroughly enjoyable day at Yeovilton for arrivals- the weather was incredible, hard to believe given it's Yeovilton weekend  Thought I'd share a few pics, starting with my personal star of the day

With this coming in a close second :D

It was a bit of a Viper fest today, with eight F-16s arriving from Belgium, Holland and Denmark. All three solos performed a practice display, and were all good in their own right. Here's some of the special schemes on show, just for Karl ;)

The French Alpha Jets performed a nice little dogfight a la the Rafales last year on their arrival, before completing two practice displays during the day. A tidy little display, though it's much better when it's right over your head :D

To finish, a selection of the other aircraft to arrive today, including plenty of Harriers

Nice shots, thanks for posting.

Hard to pick a favourite, but it's probably one of the Viprs. Nice F-4 as well.

Blinding as usual Shaun.

With all those colourful F-16's on parade I hope the Italians send their Black one over as well - would make a mini F'teen meet.

That orange F16 fell from the sky yesterday popping off flares over Yeovil way.

It didn't crash but it sure looked like it was going too!

Superb photography, as always!!

It's hard to pick out any as being better than others, but I'd say that F-16 pics 1 and 3 are mighty fine IMO!

Excellent work buddy!

Karl.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated

Mike, after previewing that Viper shot, I prayed for it to be sharp, was one of those shots where you just think yep, that's awesome  Just a shame the burner was lit though, that would have been the money shot

Here's a few from today's showday, from inside the base. Had a pretty tough time with the camera TBH, so I think next year I'll buy an advance ticket and watch from the field, farmer permitting of course....

Despite the problems I had, a throughly enjoyable show with some great flying B)

Cheers Sean

The Vulcan has had the inscription 'The Spirit of Great Britain Britain 1960-2010' added this year in celebration of '558's 50th birthday :)
