Kleer -- what is it in the UK?

Apologies if this topic has already come up :deadhorse: I did search!

I've heard a lot about Kleer, including the tutorial by Tom Swann, but have no idea what product to get in the UK. I believe its been re-branded a few times?

Any hints on what and where to get some, both for dipping clear parts and spraying?

Kleer is now Kaput here - Johnsons stop selling it around 6 months ago. You can still get it on the internet (Amazon of all places for one) but around £6-8 a bottle whereas it was £3 in the shops when it was sold.

There are several threads on other sites testing a suitable replacement, but can't remember any names.

We need a Kleer clearance scout to find some for us all - I would buy a couple of bottles

Some Asda stores still stock the original Klear, you could also try independently run as opposed to chainstore owned hardware shop (the sort found on side streets in town centres that hardly anyone uses)

I got mine from when i was up north in a hardware store in Billingham that sold allsorts - TV's, radios, mp3's, garden equipment, household cleaning stuff, nuts and bolts etc - it was like Arkwrights shop from Open All Hours

Some places are still carrying the old stuff you just have to look, but remember it Klear, not Kleer

ie my local hardware shop has some at £5.00+ a bottle

As for why people can't find it, I couldn't possibly comment!
